By creating an account or using Aniis ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to create an Aniis account. Aniis is built for pet owners, not for children — if you invite a household member, they must also meet this requirement.
Aniis is a pet-care companion: it helps you track your pet's health, log daily care, keep records organized, get reminders, and get AI-assisted guidance on everyday pet-care questions. Aniis is not a veterinary clinic, a telehealth platform, or a marketplace for booking veterinary services — it doesn't connect you with a specific vet or make appointments on your behalf. Its purpose is to help you take better care of your pet between vet visits, and to help you recognize when a real vet visit is needed.
Aniis provides information and tools to support your decisions about your pet's care. Aniis is not a veterinary medical service, does not diagnose conditions, does not prescribe treatment, and does not substitute for in-person veterinary care. Every AI response that touches your pet's health carries this notice:
"Aniis isn't a substitute for veterinary care. If your pet's condition changes or doesn't improve, please consult a vet."
If you have any concern about your pet's health, safety, or behavior, please consult a licensed veterinarian. You are solely responsible for decisions you make about your pet's care, whether or not you used Aniis to inform them.
If Aniis detects language suggesting a possible emergency (for example: seizures, suspected poisoning, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, collapse, or a vehicle accident), it will stop and tell you, in your language, to seek immediate veterinary attention rather than continue the conversation — for example:
"Based on what you've described, this is a potential emergency. Please contact your veterinarian or the nearest 24-hour animal hospital immediately. I can't substitute for in-person veterinary care for symptoms like these."
Never wait for Aniis' response in a genuine emergency. If your pet's life may be at risk, go to the nearest emergency veterinary clinic or call your vet immediately — do not rely on the app.
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. If you invite others to your household, you're responsible for making sure they understand and agree to these terms, and for the access level (caregiver or view-only) you grant them over your pets' records.
Aniis offers a free tier and paid Plus and Premium subscriptions, billed monthly through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time from Settings. Cancellation stops future billing but takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access to paid features until then, and we don't offer partial refunds for the unused portion of a billing period, except where required by applicable consumer-protection law. We'll notify you before any price change takes effect for your next billing cycle.

Aniis' AI features (chat, symptom guidance, photo and stool analysis, nutrition guidance, and voice transcription) are provided as a convenience and are built with a safety layer designed to catch emergencies and add appropriate cautions. Even so, AI-generated content can be incomplete, inaccurate, or fail to reflect your pet's specific situation. You should independently verify anything important with a licensed veterinarian before acting on it, especially anything related to medication, diet changes, or a suspected medical condition.
The Aniis name, logo, app, and its underlying software, design, and content (excluding data you provide) belong to Aniis or its licensors. You keep ownership of the content you add — your pet's data, photos, and notes — and you grant us the limited right to store, process, and display it back to you (and anyone you've shared it with) as part of providing the Service.
The Service relies on third-party providers — including our AI providers, payment processor, and hosting infrastructure — described in our Privacy Policy. We're not responsible for outages, errors, or content originating from those third parties' systems, though we'll work to route around or resolve issues that affect the Service.
You can stop using Aniis and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, or discontinue the Service (or parts of it) with reasonable notice. On termination, your data is deleted per the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or complete. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Aniis and its officers, employees, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including harm to a pet — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, or from reliance on AI-generated content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable UAE law.
You agree to indemnify and hold Aniis harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. We intend for disputes that can't be resolved informally to be settled by arbitration seated in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), except where applicable consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. We may update these terms as the Service evolves. If we make a material change, we'll let you know before it takes effect — for example, by email or an in-app notice. Continuing to use Aniis after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
