Emergency situations specific to GCC
- Heat stroke — wet, not iced; A/C in car at maximum
- Snake bites (cobras + vipers exist in mountains/desert) — calm, restrict movement, vet IMMEDIATELY
- Scorpion stings — generally less dangerous than snake bites but painful and vet-worthy in small pets
- Hit by car — even if pet seems fine, internal injuries common; vet check within 4 hours
- Eating fronds / pesticide-treated plants — palm tree areas often sprayed; ID plant if possible
- Hookah / shisha / cigarette toxicity — nicotine is toxic to dogs and cats in small amounts
Refresh schedule
- Food + water: every 60 days
- Medications: per expiration date
- Vaccination records: after every booster
- Re-pack and re-check the whole bag every 6 months
